7 Car Brands in Thailand Cut Flood Repair Bills by 30 to 50%, Led by Porsche, Lexus and Denza

Porsche, Lexus, Denza, BMW and Hyundai, Plus 2 More Brands, Open Flood Repair Programmes in Thailand, and Each Closes on a Different Date

Seven car brands in Thailand have opened relief programmes for customers whose cars were submerged in this year’s floods: Porsche, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Denza, BMW with MINI, and Hyundai. Almost all set the same baseline at 30%, with selected items reaching 40 to 50%.

The real differences sit elsewhere: how many inspection points are included, which brands discount labour at all, the minimum spend some impose, and the closing date, which ranges from the end of October to the end of December.

  • Porsche and Denza close on 31 October 2026, ahead of the rest, roughly 29 days from publication

  • 3 of the 7 discount labour: Denza at 30%, Hyundai at 30%, BMW and MINI at 10%. The other 4 discount parts only

  • Denza includes a 138-point free inspection, the most in the group, against 40 points at Hyundai and 24 at Porsche

  • Hyundai sets a floor: repairs must exceed THB 50,000 to earn the discount, and it is the only brand bundling towing

All 7 Set the Baseline at 30%, Then Separate on What Comes With It

30% is the figure almost every brand lands on. The variation lies in the services attached, the items that earn more than the baseline, and the conditions written around them.

Brand Free Inspection Parts Discount Labour Discount Closes
Porsche 24 points Additional 10%, up to 40% combined None (10% off Detailing service) 31 Oct 2026
Denza 138 points 30% 30% 31 Oct 2026
BMW and MINI Electrical and safety diagnostics 30% 10% 30 Nov 2026
Lexus Not stated 30% · 50% on floor and sound-dampening mats None 31 Dec 2026
Mercedes-Benz Not stated 30% across all models including vans None 31 Dec 2026
Volvo Free vehicle inspection 30% None 31 Dec 2026
Hyundai 40 points 30% on repairs above THB 50,000 30% 31 Dec 2026

Sorted by closing date, Porsche and Denza shut first, while Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Hyundai run longest, through to the end of the year.

Where Do the Porsche 40% and the Lexus 50% Come From?

Neither applies to a whole bill. Porsche’s is cumulative: the SPECIAL FLOOD ASSISTANCE programme adds a further 10% on flood-damaged parts on top of the existing discount, capping the combined figure at 40%.

The Lexus 50% attaches to a single line, floor mats and sound-dampening mats, limited to participating part numbers. Those happen to be the components floodwater destroys first.

Denza Inspects 138 Points; Porsche Inspects 24

The free inspection is where the group diverges most. Denza states 138 points, 5.75 times Porsche’s figure, with Hyundai in between at 40.

The other three use broader wording. Volvo states a free vehicle inspection without a count. BMW and MINI describe Advanced Safety Diagnostics across electrical and safety systems, performed by certified technicians. Lexus and Mercedes-Benz offer discounts alone, with no free inspection stated.

A higher count does not automatically mean a more thorough check, since brands count units differently, but it does indicate which brands treat the inspection as a core service rather than a giveaway.

Porsche and Denza Close on 31 October, Roughly 29 Days Away

The closing dates fall into 3 clear groups. Porsche and Denza close on 31 October 2026. BMW and MINI close on 30 November 2026. The remaining 4 run to 31 December 2026.

Counting from the publication date of this article, the first group has roughly 29 days left, the second roughly 59, and the third roughly 90. For a car already flooded and not yet booked in, the brand’s closing date is the first thing to check.

Porsche adds a second constraint on location: the programme is accepted only at Porsche Centre Bangkok and Porsche Centre Pattanakarn, both in Bangkok, so owners in the provinces have to allow time to transport the car in.

If the Car Will Not Start, Which Brand Tows It In for Free?

Hyundai is the only brand in this group bundling a tow, free for up to 25 kilometres from the pickup point to the nearest service centre, under the myHyundaiCare programme. It carries real value, because a submerged car usually cannot be driven.

The step that matters before calling for the tow: do not start the engine. Water drawn into the combustion chamber causes far heavier damage, and that damage may fall outside both the insurance policy and the campaign.

3 of the 7 Discount Labour; the Other 4 Discount Parts Only

Labour is often as large a line as parts in flood repair work, because the interior has to be stripped out, cleaned and dried. Only 3 brands discount it.

  • Denza discounts parts and labour equally at 30%

  • Hyundai discounts genuine parts and labour at 30%, conditional on the repair exceeding THB 50,000

  • BMW and MINI discount genuine parts at 30% and labour at 10%

Porsche, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo announce parts discounts only. The 10% Porsche offers applies to Detailing programmes A, B and C at the AAS Detailing Center, a cleaning and paint-protection service rather than repair labour.

What if the Repair Comes to Less Than THB 50,000?

Hyundai’s 30% applies to work from THB 50,000 upward. Below that the discount does not apply, though the 40-point free inspection and the towing service still do.

No other brand in this group sets such a floor, and it inverts the usual expectation: heavily damaged cars benefit more from this programme than cars that only took water at floor level.

Batteries Are What Almost Every Brand Carves Out

The exclusion that repeats across campaigns is the battery, among the most expensive single components in a flooded electric or hybrid car.

  • Lexus excludes the hybrid battery, along with scheduled maintenance items, tyres and decorative accessories

  • Mercedes-Benz excludes warranty work and certain parts groups, including locally produced parts

  • ZEEKR, outside this group of 7, excludes the high-voltage battery, the motor and the DC converter

  • GWM excludes the battery, tyres, motor, controller and accessories

Before committing to a centre, ask for an itemised estimate and check whether the most expensive line on the bill qualifies. A 30% discount on a bill with the costly parts already carved out behaves very differently from 30% on the whole.

With Insurance in Place, Where Does the Discount Still Bite?

Mercedes-Benz states that Flooding 2026 applies to customer-pay work including insurance claims, but that joining it rules out combining it with any other discount. Lexus states that for body and paint work, insured customers receive the discount only on costs the policy does not cover.

So where the policy covers most of the bill, the 30% largely applies to the excess the owner pays personally rather than to the full repair total.

8 More Brands Running Programmes at the Same Time, From Toyota to ZEEKR

Beyond those 7, other brands announced flood relief over the same period. Several discount labour as well, and a few go above 30%.

Brand Discount Notes Closes
Toyota Parts 30% · floor and sound-dampening mats 50% Same programme as Lexus 31 Dec 2026
Isuzu Parts and labour 30% Includes a vehicle inspection 30 Dec 2026
Honda Parts 30% — 31 Dec 2026
Suzuki Parts 30% Excludes labour, battery, spark plugs, tyres and accessories 31 Dec 2026
GWM Parts and labour 30% Excludes battery, tyres, motor, controller and accessories 31 Dec 2026
ZEEKR Parts and labour 40% Excludes high-voltage battery, motor and DC converter 31 Oct 2026
Geely Riddara Parts and labour 40% — 31 Oct 2026
Geely (Thonburi Northern) Parts 30% · labour 30% No end date stated —

ZEEKR Offers 40% but Excludes the High-Voltage Battery. What Do the Others Cut?

Higher headline percentages tend to carry longer exclusion lists. ZEEKR and Geely Riddara lead at 40%, the highest here, but ZEEKR removes the core components of the electric drivetrain entirely. Suzuki offers 30% on parts alone and strips out labour, the battery, spark plugs, tyres and accessories.
